Audio Engineering & Production

Audio production is half-science and half-art, so we combine a lifetime of experience with the most effective tools available to craft pristine, production-ready sound.

Audio Engineering Services & Rates

We offer services for each step in the audio production process, and provide custom quotes for projects with unique requirements.

Audio Editing ($150+ PFH)

Whether it’s an audiobook, podcast, or commercial, the first step after capturing raw audio is trimming it down to its final length. This happens before any effects are applied, and includes:

  • Spacing/pacing adjustment
  • Multi-track syncing/splicing
  • Conforming to format & timing standards

Audio Mastering ($25+ PFH)

Mastering is done after the editing process is complete, transforming raw recordings into production-ready content using tools like iZotope RX10 Advanced and Adobe Audition.

Fully mastered audio is a necessity for publishing, and can include the following repairs and enhancements.

  • Plosive removal (De-plosive)
  • Sibilance removal (De-essing)
  • Mouth noise removal
  • Excessive breath removal
  • Noise reduction
  • Custom EQ
  • Noise gating
  • Compression
  • Loudness normalization
  • Noise floor adjustment

Proofing & Pickup Packets ($30+ PFH)

Proofing is one of the most time-consuming and tedious parts of any audio project. With Pozotron, we are able to proof your audio for errors using AI, then generate pickup packets to streamline the production process.

Audio Consulting ($100/hr)

What audio interface should I buy? Do I really need a $500 microphone? How do I get rid of the echo in my room? What’s the difference between sample rate and bit depth? Why is the dB scale backwards?

If technical questions cause your blood pressure to rise and your heart to drop, we are here to help with:

  • Equipment selection
  • Acoustic treatment & sound proofing
  • Recording technique & best-practices
  • Audio software & processing
